Match Play & Strategy

Match play and strategy coaching

This is for players who can hit the ball but lose to people who hit it worse. Usually that's not a technique problem. It's shot selection, positioning and decision making under a bit of pressure.

Sessions mix live-ball drills with practice points, then we talk about what actually happened in those points instead of guessing.

01Who it's for

  • Recreational players entering social leagues
  • Players who practice well and compete poorly
  • Doubles players working on partner positioning
  • Anyone who wants their practice to transfer

02What a session may focus on

  • Point construction
  • Court positioning
  • Shot selection
  • Serve +1 patterns
  • Return strategy
  • Playing under pressure
  • Consistency at the right margin
  • Identifying an opponent's patterns
  • Live-ball drills and practice points

03How locations work

Your court, or one we find together.

Lessons take place at a court that works for both of us: a neighborhood court, your apartment or HOA court, a private court, or a public facility nearby. Court availability and any reservation requirements get sorted out with you before the session is confirmed.

04How booking works

Send a request with your neighborhood, level and availability. I'll come back to you about the court and the time. Nothing is confirmed until we've both agreed on those.

Pricing

$125 / hour (private)

Semi-private $65 per player, per hour. No travel fee inside the service area; any court or reservation fee is stated before the session is confirmed.
